121117 - This boat when loaded to the manufacturer recommended capacity became a monohull if we simply load the weights where the seats are. More important than becoming a monohull is the fact that water seeps through the hull to deck joint. After 75 minutes, at full capacity, the boat acquires sufficient water to cause it to capsize. Accident with injury occured. The intent of the manufacturer is to have the boat behave as a multihull with the hull to deck joint above the water. In order to do so, the maximum recommended capacity must be lowered significantly, and with a warning sign that the boat must be loaded in such a manner so it remains level. MNF understands the nature of the problem and will propose a solution after careful internal debate. PLC. 11/29/17 mailed per WH request-CC 1/10/18 mnf granted extension as per WH-CC 022018 - MNF TEST INDICATE THE JOINT IS ABOVE WATERLINE. RECOMMENDED TO MNF TO RECALL BY SENDING NEW CAP LABEL WITH WARNING SIGNS TO: 1) KEEP THE JOINT ABOVE WATER; 2) EMPTY BIILGE BEFORE EACH USE; 3) LOAD THE BOAT TO ACHIEVE LEVEL.
