Comments:  
1) The engine compartment natural exhaust ventilation opening was of insufficient size for the compartment net volume. The gasoline engine compartment has a net compartment volume of approximately 94 cubic feet, which requires a minimum aggregate of 14.7 square inches for the cross-sectional area of the natural supply and 14.7 square inches for the cross-sectional area of the natural exhaust ventilation. The natural ventilation supply openings were of adequate size. The one 3-inch natural ventilation exhaust opening only had a 7.1 square inch area which was further reduced by a slotted cover to an estimated open area of 4.5 square inches. (2)The gasoline powered boat subject to the fuel, electrical, ventilation and navigation light certification regulations of Part 183 did not have a certification label.(3)The sidelights mounted in the flare of the bow were not aligned with the centerline of the boat. The sidelight sectors would not show forward of the boat and would show beyond the limit of 22.5 degrees abaft the beam.(4) The conductors to be installed in the boat were not marked; manufacturer did not have supplier documentation that the conductors met the referenced requirements.The Coast Guard considers item (1) to present a significant danger to purchasers of this boat model. You are to conduct a defect notification and correction campaign as required by Part 179 of Title 33, Code of Federal Regulations for this item. If other boats or models have the same noncompliance item, you are to include them in this campaign.
