U.S. Coast Guard Boating Safety - Notable Awards

The following individuals have been recognized for their support of the National Recreational Boating Safety Program.  The mission of the National RBS Program is to ensure the public has a safe, secure, and enjoyable recreational boating experience by implementing programs designed to minimize the loss of life, personal injury, and property damage while cooperating with environmental and national security efforts.

Award of Excellence - The Award of Excellence is awarded to an individual who has excelled at fulfilling multiple (two or more) objectives or initiatives as identified within the National RBS Program's Strategic Plan (e.g., providing public awareness, public education, public skill level training, vessel safety checks, marine dealer visits, law enforcement, vessel design, etc.), or the nominee must have provided a level of service in one particular objective or initiative that extremely exceeds the level of service typically provided by a member of the boating safety community.
